Message from Superintendent Ben Roederer…
The Fremont Community Schools District is an attractive, progressive community and recreational area in Steuben County, located in extreme northeast Indiana, bordered by the state of Michigan. A widely known recreational area, Steuben County has more than 100 lakes with Clear Lake, Lake George, Snow Lake, Jimmerson Lake, and part of Lake James being in the Fremont School District.
Special students are served by three local programs that are operated in conjunction with the Four-County Special Education Cooperative. Individual case conferences are utilized to determine needs of these students, and every effort is then expended to guarantee a successful educational program. Vocational education needs are provided by the school corporation’s involvement in the Four-County Vocational Cooperative in conjunction with local programs.
On behalf of the members of the Fremont Community Schools Board of Education and the school administration, I would like to extend to you and your family a sincere welcome to our school system. We believe that our schools rank among the very best in Indiana and we are continually striving to bring the greatest possible educational opportunities to all our students.
Curricular offerings are varied and extensive and are designed to provide the basics as well as to provide educational challenges and enrichment/remedial opportunities for students in each academic and vocational program.
On behalf of the school system, I extend an open invitation to visit each of our schools and meet with the building principals so you may become better informed
and more involved in your child’s education.
